New dog owner Mona says...
I’d like you to meet me and my Shadow! When I first saw the classified ad with Shadow’s picture my heart literally skipped a beat! The Burien Animal Care & Control Center had nicknamed him Juneau, but after spending time with him I realized his real name is Shadow. His cute face caught my eye, but also my father was from Alaska ~ so his name also grabbed my attention. Spending five minutes with his energetic bubbly personality had me convinced we were destined to live together.
While I am a dog lover, it was not until driving to meet Shadow that I realized I’d never had a dog of my very own! There have been dogs purchased for kids or grandkids that eventually would have long term stays with us, but never a dog to call mine. Since I am about to graduate the UW it is almost fitting that I leave with a degree and a Husky mix dog! I absolutely am thrilled to have adopted him, he is curious, full of energy, and as sweet as any dog I’ve ever met.
I appreciate all the people who work to make this planet a better place for both two legged and four legged beings! And if you are considering becoming a pet owner please take the time to see one of the wonderful pets available for adoption first!
Best,
Mona, Shadow’s human in training
Nice website! I adopted Neo (now Seymour) in late December. He is an awesome cat and doing very well in our crazy house (3 young boys and a dog). I can send photos if you tell me how.
ReplyDeleteI hope Snickers finds a home soon. She is a lovely kitty and I enjoyed visiting her when we were at the shelter.
Wonderful to hear from you! So glad that Seymour (Neo) is doing so well. I would love to see/post some photos. Please send them to the shelter at baccadoptions@yahoo.com and they'll forward them to me.
ReplyDeleteHopefully it won't be too long for Snickers. She's a delight.
