Was just cuddling her the other day... She's going to make her family very happy, I'm sure!!

Are you in the Greater Seattle area and interested in adopting a cat or a kitten? This is the place for you! Our beloved kitten Poonai is the inspiration for this blog and our volunteer work with the shelter that brought us together. Lots of fabulous kitties here!!
Why are we here?
We're a Ballard family that adopted a kitty from Burien Animal Care & Control. Our kitten Poonai (meaning "cat" in Tamil) is an utter joy. We're planning to foster a mama kitty and her babies when kitten season begins, and this is where we'll share information about them. In the meantime, we'll use this space to advocate for the lovely kitties at the shelter.
If you're most interested in seeing kitties currently available for adoption, please see the links a bit further down in this right column. All kitties are "tagged" with their own links. The available kitties are marked clearly and at the top of the link list.
(Please note that I don't check my gmail account. If you want to know about the available kitties, you'll want to contact the shelter through their Petfinder page!)
