Introducing Miranda...

Katy's kittens are really showing their own personalities now, so I'll introduce them individually.  These little darlings will be ready to adopt in about 3 weeks.  BACC has a policy to not accept "holds" on kitties, so keep an eye on this blog and Petfinder for them.  They'll go fast, I'm quite sure.  If you miss out, never fear...  Before long the local shelters will be full (too full!) of adorable, adoptable kittens.

Next, we'll introduce Miranda.

March 14th
Miranda is an all-around fantastic kitty.

She excels in all important kitty qualities...  She's super-sweet, quite a cuddler, adventurous, and playful.  Miranda is often the first of the crowd to run for cuddles when we go into their "nursery".

My daughter says, "Miranda is mouthy, and Miranda is very cute.  Miranda is cuddly.  Miranda loves to wrestle.  Miranda is sorta'--in the middle--mellow.  She's loving.  She's adorable.  That's all I have."

We've always been very alert to the fact that Miranda is a black kitty.  Sadly, black kitties generally take much longer to find homes.  (My theory on this is that it can be more difficult to see their facial features, making it more difficult to "connect" with them. -- We humans are very affected by facial features, after all...)  So, we've tried to give her a bit extra love and attention.  We want her to be connected to people.  People really respond to that and adopt "people-connected" kitties much more quickly.  Well, the attempt has either worked, or she didn't need it.  Miranda is a sweet & loving kitty who is going to make a family very happy!!

Next, we'll introduce Milo.

March 9th
Milo is a handsome little boy.  He's a bit stockier than his sisters, so I suspect he may be a bit of a big boy when he grows up.  He's got dreamy eyes and loves to gaze into yours.  He can make me just melt...

Milo's a bit quieter than his sisters.  He'll give a good mew if he wants to tell you something, but in general, he hangs out quietly and observes the world around him.  He loves to play with his sisters and is also a fantastic cuddler.

My daughter says, "Milo is mellow.  He's cuddly.  He's playful.  He's a mama's boy too.  He likes eating 'big boy food'.  That's all I have to say."

Mia on March 16th

Mia is an adventurous little girl.  She's always up to climbing and exploring.  She's also a great little cuddler...

My daughter says: "Mia is adventurous.  Mia is cuddly.  She was the first one to come out to be cuddled.  She will be a good cat.  That's all I have to say."

Mia's super fun to have around.  She loves to play with her siblings, but also is more than willing to head off on an adventure on her own.  One of her favorite places to explore is a doll bunk bed.

Introducing Maddie...

First, we'll introduce Maddie.

Maddie on 3/20/11
Maddie is a little mama's girl.  If you've been following the blog, you'll know that Katy went back to the shelter to receive treatment for mastitis.  She started recovering quickly and (thankfully!) adopted Serena's newborn babies who were being hand-fed.  So, this little mama's girl is without a mama.  She's doing great though.  She and her siblings are having a great time playing and cuddling together.

Maddie is our best cuddler.  She loves to be held.  As you can see, she's also awfully photogenic!  Her baby-face and beautiful big eyes draw people in immediately and her personality seals the deal.

My daughter says, "Maddie's cute and cuddly.  If any girls adopt her, she is a mama's girl, so she might just hang out with you.  And she's mostly black.  That's all I have to say."

She brings up a fun thing about Maddie's appearance.  From the front, she appears to be a standard tabby.  But her back and hind end is largely black, adding variety and interest to her looks.  She's gorgeous!
